We would like to thank you for your participation in these programs and for promoting general park use amongst your organization and community members.

Visit Saskatchewan Provincial Parks

Saskatchewan Provincial Parks are the perfect place to visit this summer season! You can relax with family and friends, enjoy recreation, explore nature learn about Saskatchewan’s history. With so many activities, our parks have something to offer everyone, including newcomers to Saskatchewan.

Consider coming to a provincial park to spend the day, have a picnic, hike the trails, or organize water activities. Pack Frisbees, footballs, soccer balls or baseballs for an afternoon of games or take part in any of the organized interpretive activities.

Learn to Fish

Learn to Fish return for a second season this summer at six popular fishing destinations across the province. This program is designed to introduce fishing to beginners over the age of 10 and to encourage proper fishing practices.

The program will begin with a teaching portion with an experienced angler introducing participants to the following topics: fish identification, tackle and accessories, rules and regulations, how to cast, proper fish handling and much more! The teaching portion will be followed by a hands-on casting lesson, and once participants have the basics of casting they will have the chance to try their luck at catching a fish! Program participants are not required to own/bring along equipment as everything will be provided.

Ecole Dundonald

École Dundonald School will offer Kindergarten through Grade 6 French programming for the 2017-18 school year, alongside the established English program. In 2018, The school will add a Grade 7 French Immersion classroom and will expand its program to Grade 8 in the fall 2019.

The new program will serve the communities of Dundonald, Confederation Park, Hampton Village, Kensington and Westview.

As a result of the continued strong interest in the school, the English program will continue to be available only to current students and new registrants from the Dundonald neighbourhood.

Parents with children entering Kindergarten in September are invited to attend the Kindergarten Open House at École Dundonald School on Tuesday, Jan. 17, at 6 p.m. Information will be available regarding the new French program.

Saskatoon Public Schools’ French Immersion program is designed for students whose first language is not French. The program uses French as the primary language of instruction and communication in the school setting to enable students to acquire functional language skills. Parents do not need to speak French in order to enroll their children in French Immersion and most parents of French Immersion students have little or no French language skills.

For more information on the Dundonald French Immersion program please contact the school at 306-683-7200.
