Call to Order

1.

Meeting called to order by Justine at 6:37 pm

Adoption of Agenda

2.

Cathy Baerg motioned the adoption of the agenda, Michelle Tremblay seconded. Adoption of
Agenda was passed.

3.

Approval of Minutes – September 10, 2012

Lynn Heale motioned to approve the minutes. Chasity Berast seconded. Passed

4. President’s Report

Justine commended the Hampton Village Community for having the highest voting ratio.

5. Treasurer’s Report

a) Amended Budget for 2012-2013

Lynn Heale motions to approve the amended budget and Abby Schoonmaker seconded.

Reserve from the past year equals a profit of $15,000. Profits mostly coming from
programs. Profits should go back into the up coming programs as well as have a small
reserve.

6. Coordinator’s Report

A) November is training month. Here are the following programs offered this month:

November 20, 2012 – Lottery Grant Workshop – Cosmo Civic Center

November 22, 2012 – Treasurers workshop

November 22, 2012 – Newsletter Workshop – Mendal Art Gallery

November 28, 2012 – Online Workshop – Mendal Art Gallery

December 4, 2012 – Rink Workshop – Lawson Civic Center

B) Westview is having a Turkey Bingo – November 23, 2012 at Caroline Robins School

Doors open at 6:30.

C) David needs Reagan to fill out the form and send it to him.

D) David received Kidsport money. He was informed that the check should be cashed as soon
as possible.

E) Westview Annual General Meeting:

Area Sergeants Byrant and Smallbones informed the community that between 2011-2012,
crime has gone down in Westview and Hampton Areas.

F) Massey Community Association is taking a one year leave due to the lack of member
involvement.

G) David reminds the community to keep their area councilors informed of the community
meetings so they can attend when possible.

Coordinators Report

7.

A) Indoor Soccer

Soccer Academy – 6/7 boys and 2/4 girls are from the Hampton Community.

$65.00 to register.

Fees for programs will be increased an extra $5.00. It was decided between both
communities, Hampton and Dundonald to split the equipment equally.

B) Rink

1)City and Electrical inspection came back with the following recommendations:

-Take the wheels off the trailer

-Move the trailer back from the electrical

-We are in need of a Rink Coordinator/Rink Committee.

-Fund raising is needed. Possibly a steak night or trade show.

2) Kinsmen Meeting

Monday, November 19, 2012, Justine will make a presentation to Kinsmen and we will find
out then what Kinsmen will offer in helping us purchase accessories for the rink/warm up
shack and lighting.

New Business

A) Grand opening of rink will be in spring.

9) Next meeting will be on December 12, 2012. Pam Laurans motioned to have a potluck supper.
