Meeting Minutes

Dundonald School

June 21, 2010 – 7:00 p.m.

 

Members present: Josh Teichroeb, Kim Petersen, Shar-Lee Haichert, David Godwin, Peggy

Nelles and Dave Lozowchuk.

 

Regrets: Matt Ingrouille, Erin Field, Abby Schoonmaker, Jacki Peters, Jenni Upton

 

1. Josh Teichroeb called the meeting to order at 6:55 p.m.

 

2. Approval of Agenda

Motion was made by Josh Teichroeb to accept the agenda as presented.

3. City Councellor – Miles Heidt

Not Present

 

4. Approval of Minutes from March 18, 2010

Motion was made by Shar-Lee Haichert to accept the minutes as presented

5. Business arising from last minutes

A. Insurance – Matt will prepare once the Incorporation status is in place.

B.  Letter of support were sent to the city to Matt Grazier in the planning branch regarding

Stacey Cutter and Angie Congdon’s proposed day care home being built at 210 Dawson

Crescent in West Hampton.  There is a public meeting at Dundonald School on June 22

at 7:00 p.m.

 

6. Correspondence

A. Bank Statement.

B. Bill for Newsletter Printing $130.70.

C. Memberships – Nine new memberships were received.

 

7. Treasurer Report

Finanacial Statement was presented by Kim Petersen. The bill for the membership cards

was $746.36, which puts the price at $0.14 per card.  Approximately twelve memberships

were sold at the burger table at the garage sale. The Incorporation paperwork is ready.  It

needs board signatures and will be mailed Monday or Tuesday of next week.

Kim Petersen made a motion to accept the Treasurer’s Report as presented.

8. President’s Report

Not available as Matt Ingrouille was not present

 

9.  Community Consultant Report

City programs start at outdoor facilities on June 28. Spray parks were opened June 1.

Notes were sent via email about programs available.  The Art & Leadership camp will run

from June 26-August 12.  The cost is $200 and available to Ages 14-16. Registration is

available online.  Other community associations sponsor a teen for this program if we are

interested we could do the same.  Pacific Heights Community Newsletter was presented for

anyone who wanted to read it.

 

10. Co-ordinator’s Reports

A.  Indoor Co-ordinator – No Co-ordinator at this time.

B. Newsletter Co-ordinator – Fall newsletter will go be prepared for the September 20

meeting.

C.  Rink Co-ordinator – Looking for a permanent spot for the rink to be built.

D.  Social/Special Events – Considering a Fun Day in the Fall.

E. Member at Large – Not available.

 

11. New Business

A.  Dundonald School needs to be booked for next year’s meetings.  Shar-Lee will take

care of this.

B. Hampton Bussing – Possibility of Saskatoon Public School providing bussing to

Dundonald  School and Caroline Robins Community School.

C. The question of what to do about dogs off leash in parks. David informed us to call

James Wilkie at City Hall to report any dogs off leash in parks.

D.  Group discussion about the new community being built – Kensington.

 

The next meeting will be held Monday, September 20, 2010 – 7:00 p.m. at Dundonald School.
